Presenting the Geoscience Behind the UK’s Shale Potential, 4-5 March 2015
Building on the undoubted success of the inaugural event; Shale UK will be held once again on 4th – 5th March 2015. Shale UK offers a unique perspective on the potential of shale oil and gas in the United Kingdom as the conference examines both the geology relevant to shale development as well as the commercial rationale. The Geological Society will provide their expertise in ensuring that the 2015 programme is the most relevant with expert speakers drawn from industry, government and academia to give delegates the very best information, essential for decision making.
Shale UK 2015 will present new developments including an update on the August licensing rounds and how the UK is shaping up in a global context and the effect of the dramatic increase in oil shale production. The programme will present the geoscience that enables us to assess the realistic potential of UK resources and to draw on lessons learnt from the US. The full programme is available here and is designed to meet the needs of all stakeholders with an interest in Shale; government, regulators, exploration and service companies, consultants, investors, the community and academia.
As the inaugural event sold out, Shale UK will now enjoy the excellent facilities provided by Milton Court at the Barbican.
